N’Djamena – Sudan Now | December 26, 2025
The Chief of Staff of the Chadian Armed Forces announced, in an official statement issued on December 25, that Chadian territory had been subjected to what he described as a “serious” violation, following a drone attack that targeted a military site inside the country.
The statement said that the drone struck, at around 2:00 a.m., a military camp in the Tiné area of Wadi Fira Province, killing two soldiers and wounding a third.
The Chief of Staff strongly condemned this armed incursion into national territory, describing it as an unjustified act of aggression targeting the Chadian National Armed Forces and undermining the integrity and unity of Chad’s territory.
The statement labeled the attack a deliberate act and a serious breach of international law, warning parties involved in the Sudanese conflict against any infringement on Chadian sovereignty and calling for strict adherence to respect for national borders.
According to the statement, the Chadian National Armed Forces affirmed their full right to respond firmly and decisively to any further violation of their territory, invoking their legitimate right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
