At Tina | Sudan Now 27 December 2025
The Sudan Doctors’ Network reported that more than 200 people, including women and children, were killed on ethnic grounds in the areas of Ambro, Sarba, and Abu Qumra in West Darfur, following attacks carried out by the RSF. The report is based on testimonies from survivors who reached displacement camps in the At Tina area within Chadian territory.
In a press statement, the Network said the victims were targeted and killed because of their ethnic identity, describing the attacks as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and of all conventions that prohibit the targeting of civilians on ethnic or collective grounds.
The Network noted that the attacks triggered large waves of displacement toward Chad, where displaced people and refugees are living in extremely harsh humanitarian conditions, including acute shortages of food and safe drinking water, a significant deterioration in health services, and a lack of adequate shelter, threatening the lives of thousands, particularly children, women, and the elderly.
The Sudan Doctors’ Network warned that the continued violations would force more civilians to cross the border, saying the region could witness the largest wave of displacement since the outbreak of the conflict. It added that international silence and the failure to take deterrent action amount,in its view, to indirect complicity in the worsening humanitarian catastrophe.
The network called for an immediate halt to the attacks and the protection of civilians. It also urged the guarantee of safe and unrestricted humanitarian access for medical and relief aid, as well as the provision of urgent support to displaced persons and refugees in areas of refuge and displacement.
