At least five civilians were killed in a drone attack reportedly carried out by the RSF, which targeted a civilian vehicle south of the city of Omdurman.
Witnesses said the strike hit a “Hyundai Tucson” carrying civilians as it was traveling on the road linking the southern villages to the city, specifically west of the Jebel Awliya area, completely destroying the vehicle.
The dead and injured were taken to “Babakir Wad Al Jabal” Hospital for treatment, amid a state of panic among residents.
Areas south of Omdurman have recently witnessed an escalation in drone attacks, coinciding with military movements around the Export Road and nearby areas.
These attacks are part of a series of strikes targeting civilian transit routes and populated areas, further worsening the humanitarian situation amid the ongoing conflict since April 2023.
