Local sources reported that at least 13 civilians were killed in an attack targeting the village of Faqousa, southeast of the city of Dilling in South Kordofan state, amid reports of missing persons.
According to circulating information, the attack was attributed to the RSF and fighters from the SPLM–N (al-Hilu faction), targeting the village inhabited by civilians from the Nuba community, including displaced people who have settled in the area since the 1980s.
The sources said that those killed included several residents of the village, among them: Salah Ibrahim Nawai, Siyasi Ibrahim Nawai, Abdulrasoul Tarzan, Ahmed Al-Faqu Qadi, Aboud Darjoul, Aboud Idris Moya, Badr Suleiman, Walid Mohammed Shikan, Bashir Jabara, and Jumaa Kadugli, in addition to others.
The details of the attack and the final casualty toll could not be independently verified, and no immediate official statements were issued by the parties concerned.
Areas of South Kordofan, particularly around Dilling, have witnessed a surge in violence in recent months, with repeated attacks on villages and residential areas, amid warnings of a worsening humanitarian situation and population displacement.
